Fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, and so on—the selections phase is where your personality really shows up. We walk you through every choice with guidance and honesty, helping you make decisions you'll love for years to come.

Frequently asked questions

Generally speaking, we estimate about 12 months from the day we break ground to the day we hand over your keys. That said, every build is different, and a number of factors can shift that timeline in either direction. Some things are simply outside of anyone's control—weather, material delays, supply chain hiccups. We plan for them as best as we can, but they're part of the reality of construction. Because we are building fully custom homes, the client plays an integral role in the speed of each build. When selections are made on time and major design decisions are locked in early, the build can run with the efficiency that we have designed our process around. When decisions surpass deadlines and substantial changes are requested mid-build, that has a direct impact on the schedule. We're always transparent with you about where things stand and why—so no matter what, you'll never be left wondering.
Every home we build is truly one-of-a-kind, so pricing varies based on design complexity, finishes, lot conditions, and your unique preferences. Early in the process, we work with you to establish a budget framework aligned with your goals. Transparency is central to how we operate—we'll help you understand where your investment goes and explore options to maximize value without compromising quality.
Yes! Building your dream home should feel like a collaboration, and that includes the comfort of choosing who helps design it. Although we have our own internal team, we're experienced at working alongside outside architects and designers. We'll make sure everyone is aligned from day one so the process stays smooth and the vision stays intact.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all homes. At Ten Oaks, every home is designed around the way you live—which means no stock plans, no templates, and no repeats. We'll collaborate with you to create a floor plan that reflects your style, your needs, and your vision from the ground up.
Your involvement is central to everything we do. From initial concepts through final selections, we partner closely with you at every stage to make sure the home we're building is unmistakably yours.
